The Lord Will Provide
God did not allow Abraham to offer his beloved son Isaac as a sin offering. Instead, God provided for Himself a ram to be the sin offering (Genesis 22:12-14). Our loving Father God does not want us to offer our own sin offering because it leads to condemnation and even death. This was exemplified by Judas Iscariot when he committed suicide for betraying Jesus (Matthew 27:5; Acts 1:18).
On the other hand, religion has so twisted the loving truth behind the sacrifice of Isaac to mean that believers have to give up what they treasure most as an act of worshiping God. This is one example of how the devil has corrupted the minds of sincere Christians from the simplicity that is in Christ (2 Corinthians 11:3).
