Cut Some Slack

What is legal may not necessarily be ethical. What is logical may not be loving.

Just because logic is on our side does not mean we have to go full throttle.

Jesus said we are to love one another (John 13:34-35, 1 John 4:7). One practical application is to cut someone some slack.

"Who ask him to be down and out? Let's kick him some more!"

Don't offer any help, nay mind. Why add salt to the wound? 为何往伤口上撒盐?

If one has to resort to that to feel better about self, then it is more pathetic for that person than the one who is currently facing the setback.

"For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward."
